4. Thermal conductivity: approximately 20 W/m·K at room temperature, and can reach 23 W/m·K at 400 °C

XW-42 Tool Steel Mechanical & Performance Properties

1. Extremely strong wear resistance: The high-carbon and high-chromium structure forms a large number of carbides, making it particularly suitable for cold working scenarios with high wear resistance requirements.
2. High compressive strength: After heat treatment, the hardness varies from HRC 56 to 65, and the compressive strength can reach 3100 MPa (at 62 HRC).
3. Good permeability and dimensional stability: Uniform hardening during heat treatment, strong resistance to tempering softening.
4. Medium toughness: Moderate impact toughness, not suitable for extremely high impact environments.
