H14 Tool Steel:Overview of Materials
H14 belongs to chromium-based hot work tool steel. A relatively high tungsten content is added to the H-series (hot work tool steel series) to enhance its high-temperature strength and resistance to temper softening. It is suitable for die-casting, hot forging, and extrusion dies that operate for long cycles and are subjected to frequent thermal shocks.
