1.2436 Hot Work Tool Steel is a high-carbon and high-chromium alloy steel with a chromium content of approximately 12%, featuring extremely high wear resistance, pressure resistance, and excellent dimensional stability. Although it is mainly used in cold-work applications, 1.2436 can still maintain stable hardness and a long service life in some hot-work conditions with extremely high wear resistance requirements, such as hot shear blades, hot pressing dies, and high-temperature forming dies. Its outstanding wear resistance and deformation resistance make it suitable for use in hot-work mold applications involving high friction and high impact.
