W18Cr4V Tool Steel:Heat treatment
- Annealing: Hold at approximately 820-860 °C for several hours, then cool slowly to soften to approximately 229-269 HB, providing favorable conditions for subsequent processing.
- Quenching: Preheat to 1270-1280 °C and then cool in oil or air to obtain a high-hardness structure.
- Tempering: It is recommended to temper at least three times (550-570 °C) to ensure uniform structure and stable hardness, ultimately reaching HRC 63-66. It can maintain hardness HRC 62-63 (500-600 °C) even under high temperature cutting.
