H10 (UNS T20810)

Premium air-hardening steel for aluminum die-casting dies requiring sustained thermal conductivity. Contains 3%Cr-2.5%Mo-V matrix maintains 500°C+ hardness (42-45HRC), excels in thermal fatigue resistance through cyclic heating. Ideal for cores/inserts in high-pressure casting (>800Bar). Requires double tempering at 540-580°C. 30% longer service life vs H13 in thin-wall molds.

1.2365 (DIN X37CrMoV5-1)

European hot-work standard for brass/copper alloy forging dies. 5%Cr-Mo-V composition achieves 52HRC after vacuum hardening, optimized for 600-650°C working range. Unique secondary hardening at 550°C enhances red hardness. Contains 0.08% sulfur for improved machinability pre-HT. Standard for automotive valve seat production tools.

4Cr3Mo3CrV (GB/T 1299)

Chinese-developed steel for zinc alloy injection molds. Triple hardening (Cr-Mo-V) system provides 48-51HRC with 0.25% lower carbon than H13 to prevent cracking in rapid-cycle operations. Special ESR refining ensures <15μm non-metallic inclusions. Dominates smartphone casing molds with 200K+ shot durability.

3X3M3Φ (GOST 5950)

Russian premium grade for glass molding tools. 3%Cr-3%Mo-3%W formulation withstands 750°C continuous contact with molten glass. Tungsten carbide network (12-15%) results in 62HRC surface hardness after nitriding. Mandatory for optical lens production molds in CIS markets.

X32CrMoV3-3 (AFNOR Z32CDV33)

French aerospace-grade steel for titanium superplastic forming (SPF) dies. Low-Si design (0.3%) prevents scale formation at 900°C argon environments. Maintains 35HRC at operating temps with 0.25%V microalloying. Certified for Airbus A350 wing panel tooling with 5-year guaranteed cycle life.

S136/SUS420J2 (AISI 420 Mod)

Corrosion-resistant martensitic steel for PVC/PP extrusion screws. 13%Cr-0.3%Mo composition with <0.03%S ensures acid resistance in plastic decomposition environments. Vacuum degassing achieves Ra0.1μm polishability. Standard in medical device molding requiring FDA-compliant surfaces.

4Cr13 (GB/T 1220)

Cost-effective Chinese alternative to 420SS for low-stress hot runners. Water-quench hardening to 48-50HRC with 0.8%Mn enhancing hardenability. Limited to <300°C applications but dominates small household appliance molds through 40% cost savings vs imported grades.

M310 (JIS G4404 SKD61 Mod)

Japanese-developed hybrid for large die-casting units (>3000T). Modified with 0.8%Ni for uniform hardening in 500mm+ sections. Triple-tempering process achieves <2HRC variance across 800×600mm blocks. Essential for automotive transmission housings with 1.5M+ shot requirements.

APPLICATION

1.2083 steel is mainly used in the production of PVC molds, wear-resistant and filling molds, including thermoset plastic molds and long-life molds.

420SS steel is suitable for manufacturing hot oil pumps, valve plates, valve bearings, medical instruments, springs, tools, nozzles, seats and other parts with high hardness and high wear resistance.

S136 die steel is often used in corrosion-resistant plastic material molds, electronic parts, discarded knives, tableware and so on.
